Why we lose the war?

I think it is time to face reality and see that the effort in Iraq although laudable have been flawed from the outset.  There was no realistic plan to deal with Iraq after Saddam was defeated.  In a Machiavellian sense we acted first and would deal with the Jinni out of it's bottle later.  This was an effort to conduct a war in some political correct way that would bring the outcome of Democracy in the middle east in addition to protection from terrorism.

The enemy from outside was adept in hiding in civilian populations, improvising explosive devices, stocking there insurgent effort in Mosques.  They would adapt tactics in  ceaseless effort to inflict the death of a thousand cuts.  Continue to recruit any who would buy into there Holy Muslim Cause.  Who was funding all this is something that would likely chill me to the bone.

The enemy from within would impose there anti-war and anti-Bush zealotry on the general public in the name of compassion and a sense that terrorism is no real threat.  I have seen the endless Mainstream Media assault on every  failure and every voice that speaks to the great need for more Democracy in the Middle East.  The President of the United States is one of those great voices.  One can sense the large contingent of idealistic hatters and how they would love for a defeat and pullout in Iraq.

In the smoke and fog of this war we lose the perspective that terrorism is a real threat now.  This was a war to fight that and it was in the region that terror and hatred is incubated.  With all the mistakes made, Civilian and Coalition Forces who have died in that land, the effort to find  democracy is still the cry of any sane thinking person.

Where does America find it self now with those inside and out who want cessation of this war.  A cessation that does not address the problems in that region or protection of America.  Will this war be seen in the same context as Americas defeat in Vietnam?  Is Osama right that America is a paper tiger?

The Powell doctrine still cries out to be implemented in a  overwhelming effort to bring victory.  There can be no compromise to political correct fallacy. This is going to be painful and a monumental effort but the alternative is fortress America.  We are already changing and polarizing as a nation.  Right now we are a rich powerful citizen of the world.  Fortunes can change and here we see a crossroads that could bring a cascade of fear, failure, and folly.  I would like to think reasonable people can cut through the haze of disinformation propaganda and rhetoric.  Terrorism and radical Islam is a threat that will not be appeased without brutal defeat.  The Nazis where defeated as was the Soviet Communist system of government.  Terrorism also can be defeated if we suck it up and do what is right.

Wheel in the Trojan Dead Horse

As the moonbats swirl overhead the fetid dead carcass of a horse is wheeled into the compound.  Glorious victory is the outcry of the land.  Great praise for the election outcome intoxicating in its heady feelings of the return of power to a starved leftist landscape.  The plan was that there was no plan other than invective and hatred of the Chief Executive.  The King is dead long live the King!

Now comes the time for a victory feast.  There will be new drapes and decorations.  Office shuffling and a hive flurry of activity, joyous muttering of revenge echoing through the hallways of Government.  It is time for retribution upon the Hegemon.  The republic is saved so now there needs be a pound of flesh in payment.

What is inside this great carcass that must be picked clean.  Are the brave Knights of no plan going to usher in a new era of Freedom?  The Knights have there shrubbery but does it please and satisfy.  Is there not a horde of locus ready to plague the land like a horde of terror.  The Hegemon did decry the coming of the hoard and his best effort wiped the opposition into a fear mongering frenzy of resistance.

The glorious day has come and after the dust has settled will the gridlock be endless committee meetings of investigation.  Can Democrats Lead with a plan other than revenge?
